Peter Funk: Energy Programs and Performance Contracting

NEW YORK, NY — Peter V.K. Funk, Jr. presented a professional seminar at the Association of Energy Engineers' annual conference Globalcon 2014, on Thursday, April 10, 2014. The seminar titled "Energy Programs and Performance Contracting" covered the following topics:

  • Programs, incentives and tax considerations in NYS and NYC relating to renewable energy programs with an emphasis on solar energy projects
  • Energy performance contracts, power purchase agreements and shared savings agreements – guarantees and other terms and differences between the types of contracts for both public utilities and private ESCOs
  • ISO considerations, including access to transmission lines and the interconnection application process.

Peter Funk is an energy attorney whose renewable and alternative energy practice encompasses comprehensive handling of renewable energy, cogeneration and energy conservation projects. Engagements have included private and public on-site cogeneration, metering, renewable energy conservation measures, energy management and data centers as well as solar, biomass and biogas installations and waste-to-energy.
